Bank of China (BOC) Board of Supervisors Chairman Wang Xiquan wants his bank to have branches in all the Portuguese-speaking Countries, Lusa reports.

“Bank of China is a global bank which aims to provide services and to cooperate with governments around the world, and we would like to have more and more economic and financial exchanges so that we can be of service,” the Portuguese news agency quotes Mr Wang as telling a BOC workshop in Lisbon.

Jornal Puxin reported this week that the purpose of the workshop was to inform representatives of lusophone countries about the social and economic development of China, and the Chinese government Belt and Road initiative.
