China Hyway to build stations on new railway to Luanda airport

China Hyway Group Ltd. and the Angolan government have agreed on the construction of six multifunctional stations along a new railway line serving Luanda International Airport, Angop reports.

The Angolan news agency says Bungo Station will have 16,272 square metres of space, Musseques Station will have 6,613 square metres, Viana-sede Station 5,926 square metres, Capalanga Station 5,331 square metres, Baía Station 4,796 square metres and Luanda International Airport Station 6,000 square metres.

The agreement was signed by Angolan National Railways Institute Director-General Júlio Bango and officials of the China Hyway Group.

The report says that, meanwhile, the Luanda Railroad Training Center has opened in Catete, in Luanda province.

The training centre cost over US$14 million and was built by China Railway Group Ltd., Angop says.
