A Brazilian analyst has said China confirmed its status as a world leader that advocates globalization and multilateralism by taking part in the Group of 20 summit meeting in Germany, Xinhua reports.

The Chinese official news agency quotes the analyst, China-Brazil Center for Research and Business Director Ronnie Lins, as remarking in an interview that Chinese President Xi Jinping, in his speech to the G20 summit, called for the world’s leading economies to promote multilateral trade and an inclusive global economy.

The report quotes Mr. Lins as saying China reaffirmed its willingness to collaborate with other countries to solve big global problems.

The analyst expects the Chinese Belt and Road initiative, which China trumpeted at the summit, to help develop the world’s leading economies, Xinhua says.
