Jin Hongjun is the new Chinese Ambassador to Guinea-Bissau, replacing Wang Hua, the Government-run news agency Xinhua reports.
The report says Mr Jin, 49, arrived in Guinea-Bissau last Thursday. He has previously worked in Portugal and Angola, and in the Office of the Commissioner of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macao.
Mr Jin said he would work to lift China-Guinea-Bissau relations to a new level. “The two nations have achieved fruitful outcomes in areas of politics, economy, agriculture, military, and health,” he was quoted as saying.
Mr Jin has held meetings with representatives from Mainland organisations and a team currently providing medical services.
