Trade in merchandise between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$61.775 billion in the period from January to April 2022. It represented a 12.04% percent increase year-on-year, according to data from Global Trade Flow.
Portuguese-speaking Countries sold goods worth US$40.677 billion to China in the first four months of 2022 – an increase of 9.24 percent year-on-year. The value of China’s merchandise exports to those countries reached US$21.098 billion in the same period, up 17.86 percent year-on-year.
The total value of merchandise traded in April between the parties topped US$18.476 billion, up 20.24 percent from the prior-year period.
The value of China’s merchandise imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$ 132.85 billion, an increase of 24.59 percent year-on-year, according to Chinese official data. China sold goods to those countries worth US$5.191 billion in April, an increase of 10.38 percent year-on-year.
