Co-operating with China can help develop Brazil’s media landscape, says the executive director of the EBC, Brazil’s state-owned broadcaster, Luiz Recena.

The Xinhua news agency reports that Mr Recena said Brazil faced the challenge of digitising its media and expanding online.

“Brazil’s partnerships with other developing countries, especially a country like China, are a great opportunity for us to make up for the technological deficit. We must use what is already available to us through co-operation and respond with our content,” Mr Recena said.

He took part in a summit involving Chinese and Latin American media executives in Chile last week, Xinhua reported.
