Chinese companies have won three infrastructure contracts in the Angolan city of Cabinda, online news portal Macauhub reports.

The government of Angola awarded two water-supply projects to organisations linked to mainland railway groups: one for US$120.2 million to a company from China Railway 20 Bureau Group Corp, the other for US$88.8 million to a company from China Railway Construction Corp.

The third contract, worth US$60 million was signed with an unnamed Chinese company to build a power grid and residential connections.

Angolan Minister of Energy and Water João Baptista Borges witnessed the signing of the contracts last week.
