A delegation from the Mozambican province of Inhambane visited Fujian province this week, seeking investments in infrastructure, Notícias reports.
The newspaper says the delegation was led by Inhambane Governor of Daniel Chapo, and included representatives from Mozambique’s Investment Promotion Centre and the country’s fisheries, tourism, cultural and trading businesses.
Notícias quotes the governor as saying the visit to Fujian resulted in contacts that may lead to investments in the Limpopo region and in fisheries and agriculture.
“Some companies have shown interest in investing in some of those projects, and we hope to take firm steps in the coming months,” said Mr Chapo.
The delegation sought investment in a road, in a fishing port, and in cement, fish processing and fruit processing plants, among other projects.
