China will enhance co-operation with Angola in the areas of agriculture, industry and human resources – in a bid to improve the welfare of Angolans and facilitate the development of the African nation, said Cui Aimin, the Chinese Ambassador to Angola.

He made the remarks on Friday after concluding a visit to an agro-industrial project in the municipality of Camanongue in the eastern province of Moxico, Angolan news agency Angop reported.

The Ambassador noted his nation wanted to explore the agricultural potential of Moxico in order to help boost the food production of the African nation.

“We also want to improve co-operation with the Republic of Angola in the near future to help diversify its economy, given the financial crisis plaguing the country… from the fall of oil [prices] in the international market,” he said.
