China’s Guangdong province wants to attract more investment from Portuguese-speaking Countries, said its Governor, Zhu Xiaodan, quoted by Portuguese news agency Lusa.
“Our province pays great attention to Portuguese-speaking Countries and to investment from those countries,” he said.
“We hope to attract more investment from those nations to our province,” Mr Zhu added.
His comments were made on the sidelines of the 2016 Guangdong-Macao Joint Cooperation Conference. The event took place in Macao on Tuesday.
“We also aim further to promote Macao’s role [as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries],” Mr Zhu stated.
