The Chinese Embassy in Guinea-Bissau last week donated medicines to a hospital in the African country, Chinese state-run news agency Xinhua reported.
The donation to the Canchungo hospital, located 72 kilometres from the nation’s capital Bissau, was estimated to be worth about US$12,000, the report said.
“This support demonstrates the existing friendship between the two countries,” Wang Hua, the Chinese Ambassador to the nation, was quoted as saying.
He added Guinea-Bissau still needed support in various sectors, ranging from education to agriculture and health.
