An official of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Brussels, will meet local business people in the Portuguese region of Algarve next week, Portuguese newspaper Oje reported.
The aim of the visit – by Siegfried Verstappen, Senior Investment Promotion Executive at the InvestHK Unit of Hong Kong’s trade office to the European Union – is to look for new opportunities to boost trade relations between the two sides, the media outlet added.
The event is being supported by the Portugal-China Youth Entrepreneur Association (also known by the Portuguese acronym AJEPC). It will take place in Tavira on February 25. The association has recently opened an office in that Portuguese city, according to the newspaper.
During the meeting, Algarve’s main products would be introduced, Oje said. The event would also include a briefing on the region’s potential for tourism-related projects, the newspaper added.
