On the 18th of March, the Chinese group African Sunrise Investment laid the first stone for the construction of the New Era Shopping Centre in Cacuaco, Luanda, a project estimated at over US$200 million, which will be transformed into a large wholesale shopping complex.
The chairman of the Board of Directors of African Sunrise Investment, Jack Huang, explained at the laying of the first stone that the project will bring together more than 400 shopkeepers and over 5,000 local employees, which, according to the figures, will become a reference project financed by foreign capital, and will become a hub for economic and trade cooperation between Angola and China.
The project covers an area of 460 thousand square meters and will hold more than a thousand stores, also integrating inter-provincial logistics centers, a large-scale complex for the satisfaction of daily needs in household appliances and electronic products.
