On the 16th of May, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Guinea-Bissau, Gu Ce, announced that in the future, his country will continue to develop cooperation in the health and medical sectors with Guinea-Bissau, through donations of medicines, hospital supplies, training of cadres, establishment of counterpart hospital mechanisms, promoting health and well-being for the Guinean people.
The diplomat made this announcement at the reception of the nineteenth Chinese medical team of 18 medical specialists to Guinea-Bissau, which coincided with the celebrations of the sixtieth anniversary of China’s foreign medical assistance to Africa.
The ceremony to receive the doctors, which took place at the Chinese Embassy in Bissau, was witnessed by the Prime Minister, Nuno Gomes Nabian, the Minister of Public Health, Dionísio Cumba, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, General Biaguê Na N’Tan, different structures of those entities and the staff of the Military Hospital.
