A business delegation led by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce visited Portugal last week to address new business opportunities, Portuguese newspaper Público reported.
The delegation included An Qiyi, Vice-Chairman of the chamber, and several executives from large Chinese corporations, including Macau businesswoman Pansy Ho Chiu King.
They met with Portuguese Minister of Economy António Pires de Lima and Portuguese Secretary of State for Economy Leonardo Mathias.
Mr Mathias was quoted by Público as saying the meeting had aimed to facilitate the exchange of business information with the 4 million members of the Chinese chamber.
The Chinese delegation’s visit came after Mr Mathias visited Beijing, Shanghai, Macau and Hong Kong in May.
According to Público, Chinese businesspeople have invested more than US$10 billion in Portugal since 2011.
