The Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (IPS) signed a letter of intent for cooperation with the Tianjin University of Technology and Education and the Tianjin Vocational College of Mechanics and Electricity, establishing the creation of a professional certification test center in the field of automation and artificial intelligence.

The document aims to reinforce the already existing cooperation in the area of technological education of a professional nature at the graduate and post-graduate levels.

Tripartite cooperation provides for the exchange of teachers, researchers and students within the framework of an inter-school platform based on the sharing of educational resources and committed to expanding the international horizons of the respective academic communities.

IPS had a close relationship with the Vocational School of Mechanics and Electricity of Tianjin in operational cooperation regarding the Portuguese Lu Ban Workshop, an industry 4.0 laboratory operating in Portugal since 2018.
