Organized by the Belt and Road Initiative Tax Academy of Macao and coordinated by the tax authorities of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin of the State Taxation Administration, the on-site course on tax matters will be held between the 6th and 15th of June at the Complex for Commerce and Trade Cooperation Platform bewteen China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, with the participation of a total of 15 tax authority officials from the 8 Portuguese-speaking countries invited, including Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal and São Tomé and Príncipe.
With international taxation as the main theme, the 10-day course will address the issues related to the “Solution of Two Pillars” under the “Erosion of the Tax Base and Profit Shifting (BEPS)”. In parallel, the trainees will be invited for a 2-day study visit to the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, as well as participate in a sharing session on China’s tax regime and innovation in tax administration services, in addition to a visit to the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Cooperation bewteen Guangdong and Macao .
