Angola’s Foreign Minister Georges Chikoti says his country needs to build more roads and airports, a task that China can help accomplish.

“China is participating in Angola’s infrastructure construction but we still need many more roads and airports. I think this is one area that we can work on,” Mr Chikoti told Chinese official news agency Xinhua last week.

China and Angola can also cooperate further in electricity generation, agriculture and trade, Mr Chikoti added.

China is Angola’s largest trading partner.

Earlier this month, a delegation of members of the Government of Angola visited China to discuss bilateral co-operation, including new funding possibilities to support development of the African country.
