Brazil’s new Ambassador to Angola, Norton de Andrade Mello Rapesta, has called for his country to increase investment in Angola, the Angolan news agency Angop reported.
Such a move could strengthen bilateral cooperation, the new envoy said, after a meeting with Angolan President José Eduardo dos Santos on Monday.
“We will work on bringing more Brazilian investors to Angola, which can be a gateway for Brazilian products regarding some [other] African countries,” he was quoted as saying.
“We want more Brazilians to visit Angola or vice versa, and more Angolan students to study in Brazil,” Mr Mello Rapesta added.
