The market of the 15th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries as an annual event of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao was concluded last week, while one of its series of activities – the “Colorful PSCs” Exhibition of Artists continues until December 20.

On October 31, appointed by the People’s Republic of China, Ms. Xie Ying arrived in Macao and took up the post of Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, succeeding Mr. Ding Tian, Former Deputy Secretary-General.

On October 17, the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) organized a gourmet showcase of delicacies from Portuguese-speaking Countries (PSCs) at the Tromba Rija Restaurant of Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre.

On October 12, the Press Conference on Activities Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of Forum Macao was held at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex (the China-PSCs Complex), attended by the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, Ji Xianzheng, the Deputy Secretaries-General, Paulo Jorge do Espírito Santo and Casimiro de Jesus Pinto, and the Coordinator of the Support Office, Teresa Mok, among others.

On 11 October, the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) (hereinafter referred to as “Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao”), Ji Xianzheng, received a delegation from Shenzhen Municipal Government which was led by Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice-Mayor of the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government as well as Party Secretary of Bao’an District Committee,

From September 26 to 28, a delegation led by the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) (hereinafter referred to as the “Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao”), Ji Xianzheng, visited Wuhan City in Hubei Province and held a series of economic and trade activities

On 22 September, Mr. João Manuel Ganga Júnior, Chairman of Endiama E.P., the National Diamond Company of Angola, led a senior delegation of the Angolan diamond industry to visit the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao.

The seminar for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, which is hosted by the China-Portuguese Speaking Countries Co-operation and Development Fund and the China-Africa Business Council, with support of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, was held at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex (“the China-PSCs Complex”) in Macao on September 20.

The 2nd Reserves Management Meeting of the Central Banks of Portuguese-Speaking Countries/Regions, organized by the Monetary Authority of Macao (AMCM), took place in Macao from September 18 to 22. As part of the meeting activities, on September 19, Mr. Chan Sau San, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AMCM,

Jointly hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, the first Business Conference on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development ran from September 14 to 15 in Macao. All members of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao attended the opening ceremony.
