On July 6, a delegation led by the Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macao SAR, Mr Liu Xianfa, paid a courtesy visit to the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao).

The inauguration ceremony for the “10 small pieces of land, independent, in the middle of the Atlantic” exhibition, featuring work by Cabo Verdean artist Eduardo Bentub, was held at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex on Friday, July 2, at 6.30pm.

The 17-day “News from the Forest” exhibition, featuring work by Portuguese artist Ana Jacinto Nunes, ended on June 27. It was part of the exhibition series “Lusophone Polychromes”, part of the 13th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, organised by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao.

On June 18, the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) convened a meeting in Beijing.

The organisers of the Contest for Promotional Videos on Portuguese-speaking Countries have extended the deadline for submission of entries.

Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), Mr Paulo Jorge Rodrigues do Espírito Santo, delivered a speech on June 16 at the opening ceremony of the Seminar on Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the Sino-Portuguese Forum (online seminar).

Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), Mr Casimiro de Jesus Pinto, attended on June 10 the “Jiaozhou Municipality Trade and Investment Cooperation Meeting (Macao) – 2021”, delivering a speech at the event.

The 13th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, organised by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), is to start in June 2021. Cultural Week activities will then extend into December 2021.

On May 28, Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), Mr Ding Tian, welcomed to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao a delegation from Qingdao Municipality. The visiting delegation was headed by Ms Luan Xin, Deputy Mayor of Qingdao.

On May 20, Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) Mr Ding Tian met at the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao with a delegation from the China-Portuguese-Speaking Countries Co-operation and Development Fund. The visiting delegation was headed by the Fund’s President, Mr Mei Shiwen.

Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao Mr Paulo Jorge do Espírito Santo welcomed to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao a delegation from the Jilin Provincial Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, led by its President, Mr Feng Qingzhong. The visit took place on May 13.
