On May 25, the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, Ji Xianzheng, was invited to attend the closing ceremony of the training for the Association of Lusophone Insurance Supervisors (ASEL).

In his speech given at the ceremony, Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng underlined that it is an integral part of the Strategic Plan, released by the 5th Ministerial Conference of Forum Macao, to support the financial cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (PSCs), to expand cooperation between the competent financial authorities, financial institutions and enterprises of the participating countries of Forum Macao. He stated that Forum Macao will continue to strengthen cooperation with the Monetary Authority of Macao (AMCM) and other relevant institutions, and continue to support Macao to become an “RMB Clearing Center for Portuguese-speaking Countries”, a “Financing Platform for Enterprises in Portuguese-speaking Countries” and a “Financial Leasing Platform for Portuguese-speaking Countries”.

This event was organized by the AMCM, providing a two-week intensive training for insurance supervisors from ASEL. During the training, the AMCM organized a visit for the group to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, in which it held an exchange session with the representatives of PSCs from Forum Macao.
