Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng meets new Consul-General of Portugal in Macao and Hong Kong, Alexandre Leitão

On March 14, the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), Ji Xianzheng, together with Deputy Secretary-Generals, Paulo Jorge do Espírito Santo and Casimiro de Jesus Pinto, paid a courtesy visit to the new Consul-General of Portugal in Macao and Hong Kong, Alexandre Leitão.


Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng welcomed Consul-General Alexandre Leitão on the assumption of his Macao post. He also introduced the work and development of Forum Macao and thanked the Consulate General of Portugal for its strong support over the years. He hoped that in the future, under the leadership of Consul-General Alexandre Leitão, it will continue to strengthen the ties and cooperation with the Permanent Secretariat and work together to build the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform in Macao. Consul-General Leitão noted that the Portuguese Government and he himself attach great importance to the development of Forum Macao and the Macao platform. They will continue to fully support the work of the Permanent Secretariat to further strengthen cooperation in the areas of economic, trade and cultural exchanges between China and Portugal.
