Second session in series of Webinars on International Cooperation Against Covid-19 to take place today

The first session in a series titled Webinars on International Cooperation Against Covid-19 was held online on June 16. The second session is to be held today at 8pm Beijing time (9am Brazil time).


The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), as a supporting partner of the Webinar series, is promoting the participation in the series sessions of representatives respectively from Portuguese-speaking Countries, the Macao SAR Government, and other relevant parties.


Today’s session focuses on the frontline experience of healthcare professionals in treating patients with Covid-19. Topics under discussion include: research and development of a vaccine for Covid-19; treatment of severe cases of Covid-19; mixing Western-style medicine and Chinese medicine in the treatment of Covid-19 patients; and frontline experience in treating Covid-19 cases in Brazil. The overall goal of this session of the Webinar series is to promote international cooperation in the fight against Covid-19.


Today’s webinar session will be delivered in video conference format, with live online streaming to international audiences via YouTube; and live online streaming to Mainland China audiences via Kuaishou. China Global Television Network (CGTN) will broadcast the webinar session on its English-language channel.
