Chinese cooperation offered a batch of sports materials to several sports federations in São Tomé and Príncipe and the school sports department.

“I am convinced that this batch of materials, such as footballs, basketballs, handballs and volleyballs, as well as gymnastics rings, among others, will contribute to the promotion of sport and the integral development of the youth of São Tomé and Príncipe”, said Xu Yingzhen, Chinese Ambassador to the archipelago.

For the minister of youth and sport of São Tomé and Príncipe, the offer is not only a gesture of solidarity, but also an investment in the future of young people and the development of sport in the country.

China promised to continue strengthening exchanges and cooperation with São Tomé and Príncipe in the fields of youth and sports, so as to promote mutual understanding between the two peoples and bring greater benefits to both parties.
