Astronergy of China has announced that it has won the contract to supply the Sol do Futuro solar power plant in the Brazilian city of Aquiraz with an 80 megawatt photovoltaic module.

Astronergy issued a written statement saying Atlas Renewable Energy of Chile, the

developer, is due to complete the Sol do Futuro plant in the second quarter of this year.

“With the Belt and Road initiative and the promising global solar market, we are paying more attention to emerging markets in South America, especially Brazil,” the statement quotes Astronergy Chief Executive Lu Chuan as saying.
