Portuguese Minister of the Sea Ana Paula Vitorino will begin tomorrow an eight-day visit to China at the head of a party of representatives of 39 Portuguese companies in various businesses to do with the sea, Lusa reports.

The Portuguese news agency, citing the Ministry of the Sea, says the minister and her companions hope to take business opportunities offered by the Chinese New Maritime Silk Road.

They will discuss with Chinese officials big projects in Portugal such as the Container Terminal of Sines, the Terminal Vasco da Gama, the New Barreiro Multimodal Terminal and the new terminal in the port of Leixões.

The visitors will attend seminars in Beijing and Shanghai about Sino-Portuguese business co-operation, Lusa says.
