Ambassador to Angola Cui Aimin says Mainland China is interested in investing in the energy, tourism, agriculture and fisheries in Soyo in the northern Angolan province of Zaire, Angop reports.

The Angolan news agency quotes Mr Cui as telling Zaire Governor José Joanes André that Beijing could explore the province’s potential and increase Sino-Angolan economic co-operation.

The report quotes Mr Cui as saying Beijing would also consider investing in the petrochemical industry. Soyo is an oil producing region.

Mr Cui said Chinese companies investing in Soyo would be socially responsible in contributing to the area’s economic development.
