The Cape Verde government has awarded an Honourable Mention to a Chinese medical team for its “relevant” contribution to the African country’s healthcare sector and the country overall, A Semana reports.

The newspaper reports that eight Chinese doctors working at the Agostinho Neto Hospital in the capital, Praia, have received accolades for their work over the past two years.

China sends medical teams to Cape Verde for a two-year rotation, the report says.
