Chinese Embassy presents awards to the best students of the Confucius Institute in São Tomé and Príncipe

On November 29, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China presented awards to the best students of the Confucius Institute at the University of São Tomé and Príncipe, which also hosted the opening of the photo exhibition for the 25th anniversary of Macau's return to the motherland.


The incentive awards were presented by the ambassador of China, Xu Ying Zheng. In her speech, she stressed that this award was created to encourage São Toméan friends to learn the Chinese language and culture better, and to acquire a truer multidimensional and panoramic view of China, consolidating the basis for the long-term development of acceleration in both countries.


The representative of São Tomé and Príncipe's Minister of Education, Culture and Science, Lígia Santos, said that this certificate and prize will represent not only the linguistic knowledge acquired but also a sign of commitment to the students' future, as they have become true ambassadors for cultural diversity and global understanding.
