GWM (Great Wall Motors) is preparing for a significant investment in Brazil, with plans to invest a total of R$10 billion by 2032. In the first phase, the company will allocate R$4 billion to construct a new factory and a strategic research and development center in Brazil.

Ricardo Bastos, Director of Institutional Affairs at GWM Brazil, revealed in an interview that, although the physical space of the center is not yet ready, with some equipment still to be purchased, engineers are already working to homologate cars coming from China and adapt the vehicles to the tastes of Brazilian consumers.

GWM is finalizing the adaptation of a plant in the city of Iracemápolis, São Paulo, which belonged to Mercedes-Benz, where the new engineering center will be installed. Local production is expected to begin in the first half of next year, with the goal of developing products tailored to the Brazilian market and potentially creating a regional product despite the center's physical location.
