Prime Minister leads Cape Verde delegation to China-Africa Cooperation Forum

The information was released in Praia by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Miryam Veira, indicating that the Cape Verdean Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, will lead the country's delegation that will participate in the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, which will take place next week (4 to 6 September) in China, where he intends to outline new areas of cooperation.


The Secretary of State said that the main sectors in which the archipelago wants to increase cooperation with China are the digital transition, the fight against the effects of climate change and the safe city, as well as increasing Chinese investment in Cape Verde.


The Secretary of State signed two agreements with the Chinese Ambassador to Cape Verde, Xu Jie: one to provide technical assistance to the Presidential Palace and the National Stadium, worth around 400 million escudos, and another for the rehabilitation of three schools in Santiago and on the island of Fogo.
