Air Macau is hiring pilots from Portuguese-speaking African countries, particularly Cape Verde. TDM Rádio Macau knows that in recent months at least five Cape Verdean pilots have been hired and that more pilots will be hired this year, information that was confirmed by Air Macau to the Radio.

Hired pilots first undergo three-month training in Beijing before starting work in Macau. Air Macau says that 30 pilots were hired last year, coming from the local pilot training program but also from Europe, South America, Africa and Southwest Asia.

This year, Air Macau says it will recruit more pilots to meet the needs of the company, which, remember, announced that it will receive the first medium and long-haul aircraft in March.
