The governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado, officially announces the installation of the Chinese giant Weichai in Itumbiara during a ceremony at Stemac's manufacturing headquarters. This will be Weichai's first unit in Latin America. The installation of Weichai is one of the results of the successful mission to China led by the governor in November last year.

In an initial phase, Weichai will focus on the import, commercialization and technical assistance of diesel and natural gas engines.

However, the next steps promise to transform this unit into a multifunctional center, encompassing the local production of trucks, buses, construction and agricultural machinery.

This advance represents not only a significant economic expansion for Goiás but also a step towards diversification and sustainability.
