Chinese electric car (EV) manufacturer Seres opened its second dealership in São Paulo, Brazil, at the weekend. The company began operations in Brazil in July 2023 - and this move highlights the growing interest in the EV industry in the country.

José Augusto Brandimarti, COO of Seres in Brazil, said that the company is prepared to compete with major electric vehicle manufacturers such as BYD and GWM. Seres offers six EV models, with prices ranging from R$190,000 to R$450,000, positioning itself in the luxury segment.

In Brazil, the company has adopted a hybrid approach of online sales and physical dealerships, starting with São Paulo and planning to expand to other regions.
