Speaking at the opening of the international conference "Pathways for development: Studies and practices in China and Angola", held on the 29th of November, in Luanda, the rector of the Catholic University of Angola, Maria da Assunção, expressed her interest in cooperating with the Renmin University of China, in the academic, cultural and project development domains, saying that the event opens an opportunity for cooperation between researchers from the two universities.

Maria da Assunção hopes that this event, an initiative of the Chinese embassy in Angola in partnership with the Catholic University, can produce suggestions that will allow us to look to the future with more optimism, crossing experiences and taking advantage of good practices.

For her part, the charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Angola, Chen Feng, hoped that the event would improve mutual understanding and promote friendship, cooperation and common development between the two countries.
