The vice-president of the Republic, Geraldo Alckmin stated on the 23rd of October, at the Annual Conference of the Brazil-China Business Council (CEBC), in São Paulo, that the most prosperous partnership is that between Brazil and China, and highlighted the Asian country as Brazil's most important trading partner today.

Alckmin stressed that the two countries have commercial relations in the most diverse areas, such as health, aviation, mining, finance and energy. This year, Chinese companies have also increased investments in electric cars.

The vice-president recalled the recent trip by the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, to China and stated that numerous agreements were signed to further facilitate investment between the countries.

Alckmin added that meetings were held with Brazilian and Chinese businesspeople to listen to them and understand how to work even harder to advance this objective.
