The Brazilian central bank is sticking to its forecast that the Brazilian economy will grow by 2.4 pct next year, Agência Brasil reports.
The state-run news agency, citing the latest quarterly assessment of inflation published by the bank, says the forecast is based on assumptions that the economic reforms, especially its fiscal aspects, will continue.
The report says the central bank forecasts that arable farming will grow by 2 percent next year, livestock farming by 2.9 percent, and trade and services by 2.1 percent.
The bank has reduced its forecast of growth this year to 1.3 percent from 1.4 percent in the light of the performance of the economy in the second half, Agência Brasil says.
