The Chinese government-run news agency, Xinhua, and the São Tomé e Príncipe state-owned news agency, STP-Press, have agreed to exchange news and to train their staff jointly, STP-Press reports.
The report says STP-Press Director Ricardo Neto and a representative of Xinhua in Africa, Wang Songyu, signed the agreement in São Tomé.
The report says the agreement may allow Xinhua to give STP-Press equipment it needs.
The news agencies undertook to promote economic, social and cultural events put on jointly, and meetings and exhibitions held in China or São Tomé e Príncipe.
