China’s largest ocean freight company, COSCO Shipping, has officially launched the Iberia Sea-Rail Express. The first train departs from Valencia, Spain, on the 28th of July and arrived in Leixões on the following day. The departure back to Valencia took place on the 30th of July.
With a weekly frequency, the Iberia Sea-Rail Express connects Valencia to Leixões and to Lisbon for both import and export. Each train has a capacity for transportation of 58 TEU.
COSCO Shipping has the largest fleet in the world, comprising more than 1,400 ships with a capacity of 112 million DWT, offering a wide range of services to/from the Far East, Middle East, Africa and Europe.
