BYD introduces the first 100% electric buses for public transportation in Guarujá

BYD benefited the residents of Baixada Santista, in Guarujá, with the first fully electric bus for public transport in the city. The circulation will begin after a 30 days testing.

The BYD D9A model has a unique layout, a high floor, a zero carbon footprint, and is completely silent. In addition, the vehicle has the autonomy to run up to 250 kilometers with a full load, and capacity for 78 passengers (41 seated and 37 standing) and will be integrated into Line 003, which runs between the Vicente de Carvalho Terminal and the Ferry Boat, one of the busiest in the city of Guarujá.

According to the company, an electric bus uses less energy compared to a diesel bus. In addition, the sustainable vehicle can stop emitting 125 tons of CO2 per year, the equivalent of planting 892 trees.
