Angola and China discuss energy sector projects

On the 3rd of April, the Chinese ambassador to Angola, Gong Tao, held a meeting with the Secretary of State for Water, Manuel Quintino, in Luanda, in order to discuss projects in the energy sector.

In a note from the Ministry of Energy and Water, the meeting was also attended by the president of the National Energy Administration of China, Zhang Jianhua, as well as representatives of some Chinese companies operating in Angola.

On the occasion, the Caculo Cabaça and Luachimo hydroelectric power plants were discussed and the president of the National Energy Administration of China, Zhang Jianhua, expressed interest in participating in the energy transcription process in Angola.

In turn, the Secretary of State for Water, Manuel Quintino, remained opened-minded to the participation of China in the energy expansion process in the country.
