On December 16, the Alexandre de Gusmão platform ship left China for the Mero oil field, in the pre-salt Santos Basin. The platform, chartered by Petrobras in partnership with SBM, is a floating production, storage and transfer unit (FPSO) with the capacity to produce 180,000 barrels of oil a day, as well as compress 12 million m3 of gas a day.

The aim of the meeting was to strengthen ties and exchange experiences on education, social policies and the challenges faced by workers in the sector in both countries.

A global leader in the engine and industrial equipment market, the Weichai has invested around R$100 million to build a high-tech factory in the state, reinforcing the Goiás' commitment to innovation, job creation and attracting strategic investments.

More than a dozen Angolan literary works already have a Mandarin version, as the result of the work of João Shang, a Chinese researcher at the Center for Economic and Social Development Studies in Africa (CEDESA), who has translated a total of 15 Angolan literary works since 2011. The works that can now be read in Mandarin include, for example, “Uanga” by Óscar Ribas, “A dívida da peixeira” and “Pano preto da velha Mabunda” by Jacinto de Lemos, among many others.

China, Bahia's main trading partner, has reaffirmed its importance in the state's international relations with another official visit to Salvador. From December 9 to 13, a delegation from the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Rio de Janeiro visited to Salvador, the capital of Bahia, to deepen bilateral ties and explore new opportunities for cooperation, with a focus on actions aimed at reducing poverty.

On December 12, the Chinese business group, Tiesiju Civil Enginering Group CO, LTD (CTCE), expressed its intention to invest in the province of Kwanza-Norte, Angola, in the agriculture, mining and infrastructure sectors. The intention was expressed by the group's managing director for Southern and Central Africa, Li XiaoGang, at the end of a meeting with the governor of Kwanza-Norte, João Diogo Gaspar, and members of the local government.
