Chinese Embassy representatives in Brazil visit Suframa

Suframa received, on the 28th of December, a visit from representatives of the Economic and Commercial Department of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil, led by minister-counselor Shao Yingjun. On the agenda, are aspects regarding the functioning of the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM) and the possibility of the entry of new Chinese investments.


There are 23 Chinese companies in a universe of more than 500 industries located in the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM). The representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil received a summary presentation about the ZFM, emphasizing the main tax incentives. A teaching booklet prepared by the municipality on the ZFM was also delivered to potential investors.


The superintendent proposed to the Chinese government the organization of a business delegation to visit the ZFM in situ, including guided visits to factories. The diplomats agreed to contact the municipality to schedule a date for the event, still in the first half of next year.
