Turnover between China and Mozambique has reached more than 27 billion dollars in the last 10 years. The figures were released during the celebration of the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The Sino-Mozambican relationship of friendship and co-operation dates back to the early years of national independence and, in recent decades, it has stood out for its trade and Chinese foreign direct investment in Mozambique.

"We will continue to support Mozambique financially, to explore a development path according to national conditions, to achieve inclusive and sustainable development and to play an important role at regional level, so that the continent's voice is heard in international forums," said the ambassador of the Republic of China.

For the Mozambican government, bilateral co-operation with China opens windows for reducing imports into the country, through the participation of Chinese entrepreneurs in the processing of raw materials and job creation.
