The University of Brasília (UnB) and the Agricultural University of China (CAU) signed a memorandum of understanding for the construction of the Brazil-China Center for Research, Development and Promotion of Mechanization Technology for Family Farming.

The activity is part of a larger agreement between China-Brazil for Technical Cooperation and Industrial Development. The meeting took place on the 19th of September, in the office of the Minister of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture of Brazil.

“For UnB, it is an honor to be involved here in this great agreement with China, which is fundamental to reducing poverty in Brazil. This partnership with CAU, far beyond an academic partnership, is a commitment that the University of Brasília also makes for the development of family farming in Brazil”, said the dean of UnB.
