Macau set up a pavilion at a recent exhibition in the southern Chinese city of Dongguan to promote itself as place where China and the Portuguese-speaking world can conduct business, the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) says.

A written statement issued by IPIM says the exhibition was the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Exhibition – Guangdong 2017.

IPIM says the Macau Pavilion covered 189 square meters of the exhibition hall in the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Centre.

Among the purposes of the pavilion was to show the investment environment in Macau and the services offered by IPIM.

The institute sent a delegation of 23 businesspeople to the exhibition and arranged for 18 companies in Macau and the Portuguese-speaking Countries to exhibit food, drink and souvenirs that they make, IPIM says.
