The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) held twin activities to promote trade cooperation between Mainland China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries last weekend.
Chongqing hosted the inaugural Carnival of the Portuguese-speaking Countries of Chongqing and the Seminar to Promote the Platform of Services for Commercial Cooperation between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries.
The seminar was attended by businessmen from the Portuguese-speaking Countries, Chongqing and Macao.
The carnival took place afterwards at the city’s Guanyin Bridge commercial area in the Jiangbei district. Activities included entertainment and the presentation of traditional products from the Portuguese-speaking Countries, including wine, olive oil and cheese.
The Exhibition and Trade Centre for Products from Portuguese-speaking Countries opened last year and serves the more than 52 million residents of the Chongqing metropolitan area.
