Three firms have submitted proposals for infrastructure developments in Mozambique’s Maputo Province, Diário de Moçambique reports.

Citing information provided by Mozambique’s Trade and Investment Agency, the newspaper says China Jiang International Mozambique Investment has a US$3-million real estate project in Marracuene, 30 kilometres north of Maputo, that is forecast to create 58 new jobs.

Also in Marracuene, China Road and Bridge Corp hopes to invest US$4.2 million to build an administration building, a shipyard, a machinery park, warehouses and staff housing. These projects could employ around 1,500 people, the report says.

Finally, Square Circle hopes to invest US$2 million in public works around Boane, on the outskirts of Maputo, that might create about 70 jobs.
