Organized by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) and coordinated by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Co-operation between Guangdong and Macao (GMTCM Park), the closing and certificate awarding ceremony of the Seminar on Co-operation in Traditional Medicine between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries was held on October 25 at MGM MACAU.

16th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries hosting Sino-Lusophone gastronomy demonstration (Sino-Lusophone gastronomic culture, heritage of humanistic exchange)
On October 14, the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) hosted a demonstration of gastronomy from China and Portuguese-speaking countries at Vic’s Restaurante of Macau Fisherman’s Wharf. Representatives from Chinese-, English- and Portuguese-language media outlets were invited to the event, with a view to exchanging insights with the chefs and gaining a deeper understanding of the activities of the Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.

On September 27, the 3rd China (Macau) High-quality Consumption Exhibition (CHCE) & Hengqin Global Bay Areas Forum was inaugurated in Macao. Ji Xianzheng, Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, led a delegation of the Permanent Secretariat to participate in the opening ceremony of the China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries Image Pavilion, and toured the pavilion with guests.

Message from the Secretary-General

Welcome to the website of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao).

The Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao, was created in Macao in October 2003. It was initiated by the Central Government of the People’s Republic of China, and organised by the Ministry of Commerce of China, and co-organised by the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region. Eight Portuguese-speaking countries, including Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor participate in it.
